PROJECT OVERVIEW

Swan Hunter were awarded a fast-track equipment rental project with TechnipFMC for a full carousel equipment spread for transportation of umbilicals for the Exxon Mobil Liza 2 Project.

Swan Hunter were fully responsible for the execution of the mobilisation of equipment onto the HLV in Skien, Norway, and also for provision of equipment operating technicians for transpooling operations in Newcastle, UK, and Pascagoula, USA.

The late contract award called for efficient engineering and project management to modify the carousel, loading tower, and tensioner, to meet the specifications of the umbilical product. In addition, Swan Hunter were awarded several variation order work packages, including design and installation of a detailed load spreading solution to transfer carousel and umbilical loads into several of the HLV cargo hatches during transatlantic crossing.
