PROJECT OVERVIEW

Swan Hunter were awarded a re-scheduled and expedited project to spool and transport 1,200Te of array cables for Tideway Group. The barge complete with carousel, loading tower and tensioners, was set up, mobilised and operational within an extremely short timescale.

Swan Hunter were responsible for project management & engineering, barge mobilisation, spooling operations at Norwegian cable factory, tow of barge from Norway, cable transpooling operations to installation vessel and onshore storage reels in port of Eemshaven, and barge demobilisation.
